Paloma San Basilio: "I struggle with routines. I'm quite anarchic."

Dania Beach, Miami, Florida, and San Juan, Puerto Rico are some of the dates Paloma San Basilio has on her calendar for the coming weeks before returning to Madrid and Alicante to continue her singing career with strength and energy on her "Gracias" tour. She also has time—as she herself states—"I struggle with routines because I'm quite anarchic" to dedicate herself to the art of writing in black and white. Proof of this is "UXOA, the Secret of the Valley" (Harper Collins), her second novel, which has just been released. In addition to her autobiography "The Girl Who Danced in the Rain," she is the author of "The Ocean of Memory."

Her talent has taken her to the world's most important stages, such as Carnegie Hall in New York and the Teatro Real in Madrid. She has starred in musicals in Spain and America ("Evita," "Man of La Mancha," "My Fair Lady," "Victor Victoria," and "Sunset Boulevard") and has been recognized with a Grammy for Musical Excellence, the Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts, among other awards.

Paloma San Basilio tells us that her favorite dish is something as simple as "homemade lentils." Although she doesn't believe much in intermittent fasting, she does have a trick: "I try to have my last meal of kefir and fruit before 8:00 a.m." However, she starts the day with a good breakfast. "It's essential: protein, eggs or ham, fresh cheese, walnuts, golden flaxseed, and coffee with whole milk... and of course, a good orange juice." She also asserts that "I find calorie counting worthy, but at the same time, it's somewhat obsessive and overly controlling."

Finally, as one of his most famous songs 'Beso a beso... dulcemente' says, his confessed vice is not exactly chocolates: " I love sausages , but I have to control them because I have a little high cholesterol."
